OpenAI Extends New ChatGPT Astra Model to Plus Subscribers, Free Users Still Waiting
OpenAI has started to make its latest language model, dubbed ChatGPT Astra, available to users enrolled in the $20‑per‑month Plus plan, marking the first public rollout of what the company calls its most capable AI to date.
Astra builds on the architecture of earlier GPT‑4 variants, offering faster response times, higher token limits and improved reasoning across complex prompts.
