Cybercriminals Leak Data of Over 3,600 Trump Mobile Subscribers, Claim No Response Team

A cybercrime collective operating under the name BYOD announced Wednesday that it has released personal data belonging to 3,615 customers of Trump Mobile, the budget‑oriented handset brand launched by former president Donald Trump.

According to the group’s posting, the information was obtained after malicious software was placed on a device belonging to an employee of Liberty Mobile, the network that provides service to the Trump brand. The leaked files contain subscriber names, residential addresses, telephone numbers and details of the devices ordered.

Trump Mobile’s public statements have been limited. In a brief reply to BYOD, the company reportedly said it had no dedicated team to handle the incident, suggesting a lack of formal incident‑response capability. Liberty Mobile has not confirmed the breach, but the alleged vector points to a common supply‑chain weakness where attackers compromise internal staff devices to reach customer databases.

The exposure puts thousands of users at risk of identity theft, phishing attacks and targeted scams, especially given the inclusion of precise home addresses. For consumers who chose Trump Mobile as an affordable alternative to flagship smartphones, the breach undermines confidence in the brand’s security posture and may accelerate migration to carriers with more robust privacy safeguards.

Cybersecurity analysts note that the incident fits a broader pattern of threat actors exploiting smaller carriers and niche brands that lack the resources of major operators. They recommend affected customers monitor credit reports, enable two‑factor authentication where possible and consider changing passwords linked to the compromised accounts. Law enforcement agencies have been notified, and investigators will likely examine whether additional data from Liberty Mobile’s network was accessed.
