Germany's commercial launch company Isar Aerospace achieved an orbital insertion on Saturday, sending a small‑satellite carrier rocket aloft from a launch pad on Norway's Arctic coast, a step that underscores Europe's ambition to build a home‑grown, cost‑effective space‑flight capability.

The vehicle lifted off from the Andøya Spaceport, a facility that has become a hub for sub‑orbital and orbital missions in the region.
