Digital Platform Lets Users Explore a Hidden World War I Battlefield
A new digital reconstruction project is allowing the public and scholars to explore a World War I battlefield that remains buried beneath the ground, offering a virtual walk-through of the site without the need to wade through the original mud-filled trenches.
The initiative combines high‑resolution imaging, ground‑penetrating radar data and three‑dimensional modeling to produce an interactive landscape.
